Giving You a Little Extra
While you will still only earn 1500xp for your first win of the day, nearly all other sources of XP are doubled. This includes;
- Time spent in a match
- Completing a match
- Completing consecutive matches
- Winning a match
- Backfilling a match in progress
- Earning medals
It will also stack with group bonuses too, giving a 40% bonus instead of the usual 20. Celebrating with friends seems to be the way to go, so get your best buddies together in celebration of two years of Overwatch.
The bonus event will start on Friday 8th June at the same time across all regions, and end on Monday 11th June / Tuesday 12th June depending on your time zone. For those in Europe, the event starts at 8pm CEST, and 11am PDT for those on the West Coast. Blizzard has provided a useful infographic to help you work out start times, but if your time zone isn’t on the map you can use this handy time zone converter.
