Are you, like every Overwatch fan right now, freaking out about the upcoming anniversary event? Awesome, you should be excited! Every skin from every event ever will be available to purchase with the in-game tokens as usual. If you haven’t seen the teaser trailer for the event yet, take a look at Overwatch’s Twitter account, which gives a sneak peek at a new Junkrat skin…

However, with over 50 cosmetic items and skins coming back, players were unsure of the prices of previously-discounted skins. Blizzard community manager Tom Powers gave an explanation in the community forums:

Overwatch skins from the Summer Games 2017 until the Archives event will NOT be discounted for the Anniversary event.

Yep, you heard that right: all those fantastic legendary skins in the Retribution event…still 3000 credits to purchase. Although this may not come as a surprise, the fact that the Anniversary event is going to allow us to purchase skins from any event was shocking enough. Every seasonal event will also be playable within the arcade as a rotating game mode, which will make the grind for loot boxes that much more fun. It seems like this year’s Anniversary event is on the path to be even more magnificent than last year’s. In combination with all of the new and old skins, this year’s event is also coming out with a new map called “Petra,” which will be used in the game’s Deathmatch mode. Deathmatch will also gain a competitive mode, similar to Lúcioball.

Make sure to take advantage of this event, which starts May 22nd and runs until June 11, and destroy some Overwatch noobs playing during the free weekend from May 25th through May 28th.  Get out there and buy (or unbox, if you’re lucky enough) those fabulous skins!
