The Gladiators are one of two teams to represent Los Angeles, the other being the Valiant. Their spot was purchased by the founders of the KSE eSports group, Stan and Josh Kroenke. They also own teams in many different professional leagues, like the Los Angeles Rams. The team was first introduced on August 10th of this year and was revealed as the Gladiators on November 2nd, giving the team an identity and a roster to boot. The team’s colors are purple and white and were first seen on Reinhardt, giving them a sort of royal feel.

Meet The Team

The team’s roster is made up of many different faces from all around the world. The Gladiators boast one of the smaller rosters in the Overwatch League with only 7 members on the team. Head Coach David “Dpei” Pei and his assistants are aiming to get this team ready to try and win the championship.

Lane "Surefour" Roberts

Surefour will be one of the main DPS players on the team. Most recently, he was a member of the Canadian Overwatch World Cup team that earned second place in November. His main heroes are Tracer, McCree, and Pharah.

Joon-seong "Asher" Choi

Asher is one of two South Koreans who represent the Gladiators. He will be playing the DPS role with stellar play on Tracer and McCree. Recently, Asher played in APEX with his team CONBOX.

Joao Pedro "Hydration" Goes Telles

Brazilian DPS star Hydration will be representing the Purple and White with his play mainly on Genji and Pharah. He's also known for pulling out Doomfist and Torb for added depth if needed.

Luis "iRemiix" Galarza Figueroa

iRemiix will be the main tank player for Los Angeles, with his hero pool being Reinhardt and Winston. His name may be familiar if you followed The Contenders season 1, as he was on Kungarna.

Jonas "Shaz" Souvaara

Shaz will be supporting his team from the back line with his play on Ana and Zenyatta, but when needed he can also bust out Sombra and give his team front line support with hacked health packs and enemies. Most recently Shaz was a part of Contenders Season 1 European champions Team Gigantti.

Benjamin "BigGoose" Isohanni

Another Team Gigantti veteran, BigGoose is mostly known for his Lucio play. The Finnish support player also plays a little bit of Mercy if necessary.

Hyung-seok "Bischu" Kim aka Aaron

Bischu, another player from Kungarna, will be in the Flex role for the LA Gladiators. He will most likely be on tank duty, as his signature heroes are Zarya and D.Va.
